Guaranteed 50 Plus Life Cover

Good news for those aged 50 plus!!
There is now a life cover that is just suited for you, with no medical or intrusive questions, provided by Engage Mutual Assurance.

So why take it out?

  • Does your existing life cover fit your needs & requirements? Circumstances change so make sure that you have life cover that fits with your life
  • As this cover pays out on death, it could increase the amount you leave as an inheritance.
  • Use this plan to take the burden of funeral costs off your family at such a stressful time
  • There is the option to nominate beneficiaries for a maximum sum of £5000
  • There is an option to write the plan in trust so a lump sum payable on death is not subjected to inheritance tax.

Please note that this is not a savings plan and has no cash-in value at any time.

How does it work?

As long as your a UK Resident, aged between 50 & 80, you are guaranteed life cover without a medical.

The premiums

  • Premiums start at £10 but you can pay up to £50 a month. Paying £50 p/m will make a large difference to the amount of cover you receive.
  • The level of cover is determined by the premium that you choose, gender, age and whether you are a non-smoker or a smoker.
  • Once a premium is selected it is guaranteed not to rise.
  • If you pay your premiums up to your 90th birthday, then your premium collection will cease but you will still have the cover.
  • If you stop paying before your 90th birthday, your cover will cease.

Please note that depending how long the premium is paid for, the total premium paid may be more than that paid out on death

How does the cover work?

In the first two years:

  • If you die as a result of natural causes the plan will pay back the premiums you paid back plus half again
  • If you die as a result of a accident the plan will pay back three times the premiums paid or £32 000, which ever is less.

After the initial two years, the sum assured will be paid out to your estate.

However, please be aware that over time inflation will reduce the buying power of the amount payable on your death.
